Asian Style Pork Steaks with a Louisiana Kick
Asian flavor gets a Louisiana kick from Smoked Cane Syrup. This is a super easy recipe with deep and exciting flavors.
Ingredients:
For the Pork:
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Smoked Cane Syrup
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon red chili paste
4-6 pork shoulder steaks
For the noodles:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 table spoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon Smoked Cane Syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon hoisin
2 carrots, diced
3/4 cup broccoli florets
1/3 cup onion, diced
8 oz package of ramen noodles
Pork:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well combined. Place pork chops in a pan or plastic bag and add marinade. Let the pork marinate for at least three hours.
Prepare your grill. Place pork on a lightly oiled grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side. Keep an eye on them so they don;t burn; you want good grill marks but not burnt pork.
Noodles:
Prepare the noodles following the direction on the packaging.
Combine all other ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine.
Heat a large fry pan with a tablespoon of sesame oil. Add the vegetables and cook for three or four minutes to soften. Add the drained noodles. Add the liquid and toss to combine. Cook for four or five minutes tossing the noodles to prevent them from burning.
Place the pork on a bed of noodles to serve.
